William is ten years old and has a lot to learn, besides making sand castles. His father, a successful musician, wants William to grow up like him and everyone else with privilege in the city, but his mother knows William needs more than a good reputation and good genes to be happy.
After William and his family venture to the royal castle for a festival, the entire world changes for young William. His ship crashes, leaving William and Griggs, a grumbly sailor, stranded. With the help of a bird, a dolphin, and a bit of luck, William discovers the real value of friendship and how important it is to treat everyone with respect, which might even help him save a life!
Sand Castles is an imaginative adventure that shows kids that they are all the same, despite their different upbringings and backgrounds.
