From There to Here and Beyond: Evidence of Spiritual Warfare

      Woman Walking Down a Road

By: Constance ‘Destiny’ Johnson

Some journeys are not about escaping the past, but discovering what can still be built beyond it.

A memoir can do more than recount what happened. At its most meaningful, it can give language to experiences readers may have struggled to understand and show how a life shaped by hardship can continue to change. That is the territory Destiny B. Sincere explores in From There to Here and Beyond: Evidence of Spiritual Warfare.

The book begins with memories of family, church, childhood security, and belonging before that stability gradually fractures. Alcoholism, domestic violence, abuse, damaged self-worth, difficult relationships, and destructive choices become part of a much larger journey. Rather than presenting those experiences as isolated episodes, the memoir considers how early wounds can follow a person into adulthood and influence the way that person understands love, identity, faith, and purpose.

That perspective gives the book particular relevance today. Conversations about trauma, generational patterns, accountability, and emotional well-being have become increasingly visible. Sincere approaches these subjects through an explicitly Christian lens, interpreting the unseen struggles behind her experiences as evidence of spiritual warfare. Yet the memoir does not stop at what wounded her. Its direction steadily shifts toward what changed her.

The progression itself is telling. Chapters move through being Safe, Shattered, and Stripped. Then toward Struggle, Surrender, Salvation, Sanctification, and finally Surrender Daily. That structure turns the memoir into more than a record of survival. It becomes an examination of transformation as an ongoing process.

One of its most relatable ideas is that meaningful change requires more than simply wanting different circumstances. Sincere distinguishes outward reform from inward transformation and reflects on learning to recognize mistakes, take responsibility, change patterns, and “grow through” challenges rather than merely endure them.

That message carries significance beyond one life story. In a society where people can be quickly defined by their worst decisions, family history, or painful experiences, this memoir offers another possibility: a person’s past can be acknowledged without being allowed to dictate the future. Within Sincere’s faith, surrender to God becomes the turning point that makes restoration, purpose, and service to others possible.

What if where someone has been is not the final measure of where that life can go?

For readers drawn to candid memoirs about faith, adversity, personal responsibility, and spiritual renewal, Constance ‘Destiny’ Johnson journey offers a story worth discovering.

Jaxon Discovers Dimension Z

      Child flying through the Air

Jaxon Discovers Dimension Z

By Marva Washington

Some adventures begin with a treasure map, a mysterious letter, or a secret doorway.

In Marva Washington’s children’s action-and-adventure story, Jaxon travels from Minnesota to South Carolina for a week with his Grand mom. She has plans for his visit—especially plans involving the colorful vegetables growing in her backyard. Jaxon, however, has ideas of his own. Naturally inquisitive and eager to explore, he soon notices that the garden holds something much more interesting than carrots, squash, and spinach: a tool shed he has specifically been told to avoid.

That forbidden shed becomes the doorway to an adventure neither Jaxon nor his family could have anticipated.

Inside, Jaxon encounters Zolo, a strange being who looks vaguely familiar but is definitely not an ordinary Earth creature. Zolo comes from another dimension, communicates in remarkable ways, and seems to know much more about Jaxon than Jaxon knows about him. Their meeting quickly transforms an ordinary summer visit into a journey filled with secrets, strange discoveries, and questions that Jaxon must learn to navigate largely on his own.

Washington gives the story an especially appealing contrast. The familiar world of grandparents, picky eating, gardens, family outings, and childhood curiosity sits comfortably beside a fantastic world where flying, mind reading, mysterious lands, and hidden dangers are possible. Dimension Z is not simply somewhere unusual to visit; it is connected to childhood dreams, imagination, and the sense that possibilities can exist before young minds begin placing limits on themselves.

Yet the adventure has more on its mind than fantasy.

At its heart, Jaxon Discovers Dimension Z explores friendship, responsibility, honesty, compassion, and the importance of treating others with respect. Jaxon may be young, but he is observant enough to question what he is told and caring enough to recognize when someone needs help. Even Zolo carries lessons of his own as his actions reveal that mistakes have consequences and that trust must be earned.

For children who enjoy imaginative worlds, unusual creatures, mystery, humor, and adventure, Marva Washington offers a story that invites curiosity while leaving meaningful ideas for young readers to consider after the journey ends.

IOH: GODCODE

Infinity Symbol with Persons Head in Middle

IOH: GODCODE

If memory can be rewritten, evidence can be erased, and death is no longer final, who controls the truth?

After twenty years frozen in digital darkness, Algus awakens inside the System—a quantum civilization where consciousness survives death. He has a new body, fractured memories, and no idea why he was hidden for two decades. Then he learns that Agrom City is gone. Fifty million people vanished with it, including the daughter whose face survives only in fragments.

To uncover what happened, Algus must descend into Deepweb cities, reunite a hacker team broken by distrust, and follow evidence leading through artificial intelligence, corporate empires, and a cyberwar born in the physical world. But every answer raises a more dangerous question: who destroyed Agrom—and why did someone wait twenty years to wake him?

GODCODE is Book One of the IOH trilogy—a cinematic cyberpunk mystery thriller set in a corporate dystopian future where a body can be replaced, a life can be priced, and the promise of eternity belongs to those who control the machinery.

What begins as a memory loss mystery opens into an artificial intelligence conspiracy that binds a father's grief to the fate of millions. Algus needs the people he once trusted, but their secrets could make the truth harder to bear than his missing memories.

Blending digital consciousness science fiction with the urgency of a hacker cyberwar thriller, GODCODE explores a digital immortality dystopia where survival offers no guarantee of freedom. To challenge its rulers, Algus must confront the cost of their power—and the choices he is willing to make to bring them down.

Enter the System but do not trust any of your memories.

Cheap Houses: A Memoir of Poverty and Reinvention in Rural America

Image of a military figure in the smoke of a chimney of a small house

Cheap Houses: A Memoir of Poverty and Reinvention in Rural America

Some children grow up believing the world is fair. Others learn to survive before they are old enough to understand why they have to.

Stevie G. Davis was born to a teenage mother and abandoned by his father before birth. His childhood unfolded in the coal camps and small communities of rural northern Alabama, where his family moved from one cheap house to another in search of work and a place they could afford. The houses had cracked walls, little insulation, and few comforts. Hunger was never far away, and every dollar mattered.

As a boy, he picked cotton, hauled pulpwood, baled hay, cut fence posts, and accepted whatever work he could find. He wore hand-me-down clothes, carried paper-sack lunches, and stuffed cardboard inside worn-out shoes because new ones were a luxury his family could not afford. Poverty was not something he recognized at first—it was simply life.

Everything began to change when he discovered a set of "Future Cards" describing the emerging world of computers. To a boy who had never seen one, they represented more than technology. They represented possibility.

At seventeen, Davis enlisted in the United States Air Force as a medic. Through persistence, self-education, and a willingness to embrace every opportunity, he built a career that eventually led him into medical information systems. In 1992, he was recognized as the United States Air Force Medical Information Systems Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year before continuing his journey into corporate information technology.

Yet success never erased the memories of the cheap houses that shaped him.

Written with honesty, humility, and the eye of someone who remembers every detail, Cheap Houses is more than a memoir of poverty. It is a story of resilience, family, sacrifice, fear, reinvention, and the quiet determination to build a different future without forgetting where you came from.

For readers who appreciated the emotional honesty of The Glass Castle or the perseverance found in Hillbilly Elegy, Cheap Houses offers an unforgettable journey from hardship to hope—proving that while our beginnings shape us, they do not have to define the rest of our lives.

As the most powerful superhuman alive, she'd rather be in the field breaking bones than stuck in endless senate sessions – much to her Protective Detail's horror.
But a deathbed promise bound her to the Great Alliance, a democratic union of seventy vulnerable worlds on the verge of cosmic chaos, as its leader. Her daughter Sonyia, fresh into her career as a Justice Officer, wears her badge with pride, determined to prove that she's more than just the Majestrix's daughter – if only she didn't have to keep worrying about being a political liability.
But when she and her partner, Alex Jennings, are faced with a nuclear bomb on their first patrol, Sonyia might get her chance after all. The two young Royals awaken a new power that might make them the galaxy's most unpredictable variables, while putting them squarely in the crosshairs of forces Sarah never saw coming.
Now, as one fights in the halls of power and the other in the chaos those halls create, both mother and daughter hold the fate of the galaxy in their hands. Unfortunately, things are about to get apocalyptic.
This is the first volume in an epic series novelizing the greatest television series that never was! It’s like binge-watching a galactic space opera, but on paper, with zero buffering! Fans of Star Wars and John Scalzi will love this sci-fi epic!

Set the Tone

Cup sitting on counter with Book Title

Belief without accountability goes soft. Accountability without belief breaks people. Great leaders do both. The workforce has changed. A new generation walked onto the floor carrying different expectations, and many are doing it in the middle of a workplace mental health crisis. The old playbook of pressure and fear no longer builds loyal teams. Neither does being everyone's friend. Set the Tone is a leadership book for restaurant managers, retail leaders, shift leads, and owners who want teams that care and deliver. Hospitality leadership coach Clay David Laugier draws on more than 20 years on the floor, verified research, and two unlikely coaches from television to show how belief and accountability work together. Inside, you'll learn: • The Ted Lasso Effect: how belief and curiosity build people who coach each other • The Shoresy Standard: how to hold a high bar without breaking your team • The Assist Standard: how to reward the people who make everyone else better • The Whole Roster Principle: why every person on your team brings strengths and opportunities, not weaknesses Every chapter ends with a Try This on Tuesday action you can use on your next shift, along with research sidebars that show the science behind the method. It reads as clearly for a new shift lead as it does for an owner. Set the Tone is Book Two of The Coaching Playbook For Modern Times series, following The Coaching Playbook: Lead with Heart. Coach with Clarity.

Fundamentals of Power-Filled Living: How to Live a Power-Filled Life Through Daily Application of God's Word

      Lighted Cross in the Clouds

Fundamentals of Power-Filled Living: How to Live a Power-Filled Life Through Daily Application of God's Word

By Robert Canton

What Does It Mean to Live with God’s Power in Everyday Life?

At a time when faith-based and self-help writing often competes for attention with quick fixes and instant answers, Robert Canton’s Fundamentals of Power-Filled Living: How to Live a Power-Filled Life Through Daily Application of God’s Word takes a more grounded approach. Its central concern is not simply what Christians believe, but what those beliefs look like when practiced through prayer, trust, service, forgiveness, humility, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.

Canton writes from years of experience in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, including leading prayer meetings, giving spiritual talks, serving as a Catholic evangelist, and conducting healing and deliverance ministries in the United States and abroad. That ministry background gives the book an experiential quality. Scripture is not presented merely as something to study; it becomes a foundation for responding to uncertainty, weakness, conflict, responsibility, and spiritual struggle.

The scope is notably broad. Christian growth occupies the opening portion, with discussions of faith, surrender, trust, spiritual gifts, leadership, evangelization, forgiveness, and intercession before the book moves into spiritual warfare and healing. This structure makes Fundamentals of Power-Filled Living less like a single-topic devotional and more like a practical handbook for readers seeking consistency between faith and daily life.

That emphasis feels particularly relevant to contemporary Christian writers. Inspirational writing can encourage readers for a moment; application asks what happens after the page is turned. Canton repeatedly brings spiritual principles into human relationships and responsibilities. His discussion of leadership, for example, emphasizes love, compassion, humility, putting others ahead of personal preference, and focusing on the good of those being served.

Those ideas also give the book significance beyond individual spirituality. A society shaped by more compassionate leadership, forgiveness instead of prolonged resentment, concern for others, and service rather than self-interest has greater room for healthier families, stronger communities, reconciliation, and responsible citizenship. Canton’s treatment of intercession similarly turns attention outward, presenting prayer as an act concerned with the needs and struggles of other people.

Robert Canton’s work is worth discovering for readers seeking a faith-centered book that does not stop at inspiration but challenges Christian belief to become visible in everyday life.
