In a land where humanity is on the precipice of destroying itself, all of the world is relying on scientist Barry Stivers to come up with a solution. An alternate energy source that would eliminate fossil fuels and save the earth, and along with it is those who inhabit the planet. But what happens if this new energy source were to get in the wrong hands? The consequences could very well accelerate us to an end that we are trying so hard to prevent. Along with Barry, We are introduced to four unlikely heroes and follow them as they navigate their lives and uncover many dark secrets along the way. We see our protagonists turn from naive and rough around the edges to hardened, skilled warriors as life continues to throw one obstacle after another at them. However, Androids and giant mutated animals may be the least of our heroes worries as they seemingly get a message from beyond the grave that could give humanity back the hope that they lost so long ago. With the deck stacked against our heroes will they be able to come together and overcome?
